![]() Using a lightly floured rolling pin, roll the dough out until it's 1/4 inch thick and use a cookie cutter to cut out tiny hearts. Place the hearts on the baking sheets (they can be pretty close together) and bake until lightly browned on the bottom, about 10 minutes. Turn the cookie dough out onto a lightly floured surface. With the mixer on low, gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, beating until combined. Add the vanilla and egg and beat well to combine. Using an electric mixer, cream the sugar and butter until pale and fluffy. In a food processor, process the hazelnuts until finely ground. Add the flour and salt and pulse to combine. The cereal should keep for a couple of weeks. Keep in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. (I ended up only using about two-thirds of the meringues because I liked that cookie-to-meringue ratio. The remaining meringues were kept aside for noshing and cake decorating!) It was really fun.Gently combine the Mini Sugar Cookie Hearts, Mini Meringues, cherries, chocolate chips, coconut flakes and hazelnuts in a large bowl. I also tied up a few bags of just cookie cereal to go along with them. Sometimes printers will automatically shrink an image to fit a page better, and if you let it do that they won’t line up with the stickers. Be sure when you print them on these labels to print them as “actual size”. I packaged them up in little cello bags that I got at Michaels, and I made stickers for the back using Avery square labels (#22806). I really loved making these and sharing them. Allow little monsters to harden and then share them with anyone who needs a smile □.I found that a drinking straw placed in front of each one helped hold the cookie in place until it hardened. You may need to wait a little bit until the melts harden up a bit and get sticky. Place a piece of cookie cereal in “mouth”.Immediately sprinkle with sugar, and place eyes (a tweezer helps with this). Gently slide covered Oreo onto parchment paper.Tap firmly against side of bowl to remove excess candy and slide along bowl edge as you remove it.
